I think your generalization is misapplied. The article shows that a backtest of the method has greater than 5% yield, with higher than S&P500 total returns yet less than S&P500 risk.

What's that little disclaimer they put in small print at the bottom of their pages?

Oh yeah "Past performance is no guarantee of future results."

If you can find a broker who'll iron-clad guarantee, in writing, to make you money let me know. In the meantime all I see are ads trying to infer that somehow you might make money with them.
