">> You prefer an anti-social board? <<

Given how much it sometimes devolves into partisan political sniping these days, I think it already is at times.

Social doesn't mean
everyone thinks the same
or talks the same
or believes the same things.

Social means that folks are
willing to hear what others say
although not necessarily agree.
And social also means that folks are
willing to hear the "not agreeing"
as well as the posits.

As such, that particular board
is much more social than some others.
Retirement issues and kitchen table
discussions are available.

Somehow or other, I have developed the ability to
recognize when a thread is not something that
I really want to spend time on - and in a
similar way I have noticed that there are some
posts and posters who have an uncanny ability to
aggravate without adding much "meat" to a thread.
Just as I suppose there are folks who actively
avoid posts from "Howie52" as being stupid or silly
or insipid or "off-topic".

Off topic posts tend to be my specialty.
