This morning Benzinga reported a story about BOFI from a secondary source "SIRF" (Southern investigative reporting foundation). The story reports that a BOFI attorney, Polly Towill, contacted a notable former short-based hedge fund operator, Marc Cohodes, for consultative help battling the "short attack" against BOFI. Cohodes reportedly declined to help BOFI.

This release does not contain information that would alter ones investment theory related to BOFI either way. It appears to be the latest short seller "hit story." The stock price is off more than 2% today.

Southern investigative reporting foundation is a decent forensic accounting firm. BOGI attempted to buy a well-known short-seller to disclose the identity of Seeking Alpha authors, is an old known story.
