"I do have a question: I notice a lot of recent insider selling. I recognize that the holidays are coming, and these guys have a lot of fruit baskets to pass out, but is does anyone have any other insight as to why so many people who know are taking money off the table right now?"

Well, JCI has had a nice run. There is the whole thing about being too greedy, and these folks have big holdings and are just cashing out a little. However, commercial real estate growth helps JCI(building frames) - ain't happenin' now

New car sales help JCI(Car interiors), hard to see a major uptick short-term.

So it is hard to see a major spurt in a big piece of their buisness, they are at a relatively high PE for JCI. So I see this as a solid hold, but for someone with a large position that has shown some good growth it would be a good time to take some profit.
