This is true. The AGI I am reporting in my question is less 401K contributions.

I guess the question is more on a macro level. How much do you save tax deferred for retirement and how much in taxable accounts. I plan on hanging up my spurs early so having after tax dollars to live on makes more sense then adding to the 59 1/2 contribution.
