"know my UPS man"

Oh those were the good ole days. About four years ago they switched to USPS for the last mile of delivery in my area and delivery took a significant drop in quality.

Now in my area, the concept of using USPS for the last mile was brilliant, but execution has been difficult and the difficulty lies 99.99% on USPS.

The first year of USPS it was often like Easter all year long, you had to go outside and search for your stuff, often delivered to neighbors or in one case left on a retaining wall between the parking and front door of my house.

Better lately as I haven't had a problem since Sept 17, when a purchase didn't show up for 11 days after they claimed they had delivered it. My neighbor had a similar problem in March of this year though.

When FEDEX & UPS was doing the delivery the biggest problem was one order that got within 15 miles and then was 400 miles away. However, since we could track it each step of the way we had few doubts about its ultimate delivery and it just added a couple days to the delivery.

Well that pretty much covers the recent delivery issues with AMZN, but doesn't touch the pricing issues, website issues, or product quality issues.
