What's really strange is I read a whole article on CNN Money or one of those big media financial sites a few days ago that said your tax bill for 2007 would drop by the amount of the rebate, or you'd be sent an extra amount with your refund to cover the rebate.

Which didn't make an ounce of sense, since I could have already filed my taxes before the bill was even signed. I think that entire article was just completely wrong.
