This book is about the group that killed OBL and focuses on one individual in that group.

I found this little different than most other "Spec Ops" books and not as good as "Lone Survivor", which was a decent read but not great. About the only thing that convinced me to pick it up was that I wanted to read what he said about the actual Bin Laden raid. That story is in the last part of the book and has quite a few paragraphs that read more like after-the-fact "facts" written in for reasons other than actual details.

I wouldn't recommend this book and would suggest people look at "Lone Survivor" if they want to read about a SEAL Team member.

I know, that's a short review but the book really isn't worth a longer one. I read a lot of military history and non-fiction combat books and enjoy most of them but this just isn't up to the standards I've become used to. There are 2 authors listed (Mark Owen and Kevin Maurer) and Maurer is the professional writer. Owen is the one the book is about. Someone with more/better experience writing this type of book (Bing West of "No True Glory" comes to mind) might have helped.

PS The discussion of whether the book should have been written or not is not relevent to whether the book is a good read or not.
