"We haven't had grammar police ever since tmeri left the building. I will have to start being more careful. "

This is perhaps being a tad too picky - but is the difference between "too" and "to"
a grammar thing?

Not a grammar policeman but one who was corrected quite severely by English instructors over
a period of many years. And as a rock may be eventually be pounded into fine grains of sand by
sufficient amounts of pressure and time - or by individuals with heavy sledgehammers with somewhat
less time -,I found myself catching trivial English traps in which others become embroiled.
However, I never quite found the ability to see my own English failings - or failings in other
matters - or at least not until they were in full force and able to be seen by all passersby.

For instance, I have never been able to avoid run-on sentences - outside of legal ones.

Also, as a general rule, Discussion Board spelling tends to allow replacement of any letter
by adjacent letters on a keyboard. This is known as the FKFFT rule
for "Fat Klutzy Finger Fumbler Typist". As such, if you had posted "tok", "top", "toi",
"tol", or even "to0", I would not have responded to the post.
The problem was being a letter short - "to".
