Being wrong here and there is not a terrible thing.
Governing requires actions - and any action can be wrong.
Inaction as well.

But governing a country with only one perspective without
looking at what works and what does not is not going to
bring unity.
The same thing you argue the liberal view fosters the
conservative view fosters - and there are folks who
view conservatives as more than merely wrong-headed.

Simple fact is that governing does not lend itself to
ideological extremes. People will always tend to want to eat
more than they will want to plant or herd. Some folks will
need help from others. Some folks will offer more of a
hand - will try to teach more than others.

And what causes "all for one and one for all" to work
or fail?
I do not think it has anything to do with the philosophy.
I think it has to do with people doing what needs to be done
----- and some of those people will be conservative and some
will be liberal ----- but they will not be focused on being
one or the other. They will be focused on getting the
work done.
They won't be focused on whether they are following party lines,
following the little red book, or following orders of their
