Turns out I will not be buying and reading this after all.

Penguin Classics has apparently decided to charge extortionist prices to its catalogue, they are all $10 -$13 now, I refuse to pay that for books that are as small as George Costanza when he steps out of a pool. Pay $12 for a book 100 pages long that was written 50 years ago and should therefore have pretty reasonable royalty rates? I don't think so. It's not that I can't afford them, I just refuse to pay it.

These are great books that every kid should read, but can you imagine parents plunking down that kind of money? When I was a kid I had carte blanche to buy all the books I wanted, but not for that kind of money.

I will be contacting Penguin to register my EXTREME approbation over this.
