A thread discussing the stock of a porno company was taken down. From the posts I saw, it was a serious discussion on the morals, etc. of trading said stock. Now they want a TMF explanation.

Fine, so 1nchnails is of the crowd that thinks Greenspam is a weed whacker...wonder what the price would be on those 18 acres if the Fed had never started tightening...Greenspam has navigated us through the rocks of Scylla and Charybdis, and got the Pantswetting Wacky Nazdackians conditioned to think that even a slowing economy is a growing economy...the Wealth Effect money is being conned out of parvenu pockets and put into Wall Street, while the Old Economy enjoys a silent recession...then, when the rug is pulled yet again after another sufficient four-letter stock margin swelling, the Pantswetters will dig deeper, deeper, maybe even with wages, to maintain their Wealth Effect levels of wealth...when saving finally begins Alan can step down, and let Joe Torre take over...

Not mine. House and 2 cars. Borrow while they're still giving it to clowns like me. This is totally awesome.

when saving finally begins Alan can step down, and let Joe Torre take over...

Then I could finally start to like JT.

Unless that's what you mean of course. But for now the investment $$ are going to tangibles.

Especially since WV charges property tax on intangibles as well as tangibles. Ouch.

-----------

...Greenspan has recently seemed nothing more to me than a huge Catch 22....When we have people homeless and jobless..we endlessly look for ways to stop this suffering and find ways to support these people and help change our economy.....yet when we change our economy for what we think is the better, then the dang government steps in saying (or should I use the word "dictating'?) to us what we can and can not have..."Oh my..you're doing too well...we need to stop you from enjoying the rewards of your hard work"...I know..I know..it's more complicated than that and I'm treating it with "surface" talk...and I understand that there are implications to everything...but it still just seems like a Catch 22.... bassackwards...people work hard to have the things they want...some people will work hard and never have the opportunity to have the things they want...yet the government in all reality seems to in some form "dictate" what we can and can not have simply by creating roadblocks in the path to what we want......in a sense you are punished for a job well done...am I making sense here? And it down right irritates me...

It all got too libertarian and even LaRoucheian to my liberal ears...the government's manifest destiny is to be a tad obstructionist, I expect no less of it..."Power concedes nothing without a demand; it never has, it never will,"--Frederick Douglas...for there to be gubmint at all, which is generally a necessary thing, ("Why government? Because the passions of men will not submit to the dictates of reason and justice without constraint"--Alexander Hamilton, some Federalist Paper or another), I expect there to be some obstructionist demands, greasing themselves a bit at the expense of others...meanwhile, in a reprehensible representative democracy, it is the bourgeoisie that insists the gubmit work for the bourgeoisie and not the disenfranchised...and finally, what is truth anyway, but the man who stands before you...if you see a homeless brother or sister or other pathetic case, the four percent that the gubmint refuses to take care of, do not take comfort in passing him and insisting that it is the gubmint's fault...men and women are all do-it-yourself projects, all ready to go, no instructions or assembly or gubmint required...I wouldn't tie windshield washers on streetcorners to Greenspan, I see them in Montreal and Vancouver too...
