Perhaps the others won't mind a continued discussion on hESC's. I'd appreciate your thoughts about the WASC/Geron legal battle and who has rights to what. I have posted on the Geron board about this, including a few minutes ago:

(and the next 3 posts as well).

My big problem with Geron is that they don't seem to have much business sense. They basically feel that they can do equity financings for the next decade or two, until their research turns into products. They don't seem to want to partner their crown jewels (telomerase and hESC's) unless they get the sort of a deal that they may never get. Their CFO seems 2nd rate at best, and he just hired someone else a few who sounds 3rd rate and who is supposed to be the point man for partnering!

The WARF-Geron patent fight is ugly and I am scared that it will last years and that WARF may get the lion's share of future royalties. Hell - if they don't get what they want they can apparently refuse to go to court to defend the patents that they licensed to Geron if those patents are infringed upon by a 3rd party. Ouch!

Well, I like the science. And being a gambling man, I even own some Geron shares.

INCY too.
