I am currently 64 and my spouse is 57. We are trying to plan for her in the event I die before she becomes eligible for Social Security benefits. She has not worked for wages so her benefit would come from my earnings history, she being my spouse of 30 years.

I see in a Soc Sec publication that a spousal benefit at FRA is 1/2 of the amount for me, but I cannot tell if she would get my full benefit if I was already deceased when she reached FRA, or if she would only receive the 1/2.
