RFMD=RF Micro Devices (the 'RF' is for radio frequency I think) and is definitely worth checking out. It is a semiconductor company which makes chips for wireless phones, perhaps other wireless as well--major customers include Nokia, and just last week deals with Ericcson and Qualcomm were announced (which sent the stock up a bunch).

There is a Motley Fool RFMD board which you could read through. And, if you search the MSN Investor site at (hope the link works ... first time I've tried to put a URL in a message here) the company has been mentioned in more than one or two articles over the past year ... Jim Jubak (one of the regular investing columnists--check under "Insight" for Jubak's Journal) in particular is high on RFMD.

They have been adding to their plant (which is is Greensboro, NC) in order to increase their production capacity ... the word is that "the best is yet to come" for this company.

It was the second stock I bought (as I very nervously entered the market) not quite a year ago, and it's done quite nicely.

Hope this helps ... good luck to you.
