This bill addresses issues like access and usage taxes, and it is of very little consequence to Amazon.

You are right and TMFJeff is wrong. He could, of course, have consulted the great research product called "Amazon FAQ" that RJMason maintains on the Amazon board:
Section 6 is entitled: "Didn't Congress declare a moratorium on sales tax on the Internet?" and deals with the The Internet Tax Freedom Act of 1998 (supposed to expire after three years), which in many ways is similar to the new moratorium.

The TMF AMZN research report shares TMFJeff's misunderstanding regarding the old moratorium (unless they have changed it) as I pointed out two months ago on the Motley Fool Research board: Needless to say I didn't get a response.
