If you dislike debt, direct your current investment money toward the loan, maybe get a second job, but don't touch the IRA money.

The lesson to be learned here is that while IRAs and 401ks provide tax emempt savings, perhaps to many of us are using them as first line of financial management. Then we look around several years down the road and sap we have no savings, except in IRA or 401k. This happens to alot of us, including me.
Morale of this story is if you have debt and are investing 10k in 401k, perhaps its time to change.
