Also as much as at any point in their history ABBOTT is as close to being a growth company as they can be...Traditionally a very conservative company, in the last 5 years or so with new leadership have made such acquisitions and was denied another with ALZA by the feds for potential monopolistic control...

They are a well run company but must come around to full compliance with FDA on the Lake County, Ill. site...After reading both sides views, what i see is that ABBOTT did feel they had fully complied and were quirte suprised by the recent FDA filing, and it is my view that the FDA is so far undermanned and still pressured by lack of a leader (a responsibility that the Bush administration ignores), that its simply easier for the FDA to stick to hard lining...I understand their quandry...
