I worked for Hughes before they were bought by Raytheon. Four years ago I was "downsized" but let me emphasize I am not disgruntled. Started my own company, undercut the local office and took their business away. OK, the local office (not east or west coast but I will go no further) has about 40 people. Recently, four high quality technical people have fled to a small business in the same town. My point, as it pertains to RTN as in investment is that in a well managed company the local boss would be laid off for losing good people. He has not been. 'nuff said?

Well, more perhaps. I have a contact inside and a brother who recently retired. From both all I hear is six-sigma, metrics and processes, total quality etc. No one appears to be doing any technical work, though.
