Rachel Grace Childers was born 1:07pm Monday, 7lbs 9oz, 19.5 inches long at 36wks 1day. Alethea went into labor early Friday morning which was delayed through the weekend. Rachel was in intensive care until Wednesday morning for respiration problems (fluid in lungs from a breech C-section). Since then as is not unexpected for her immaturity she has shown neither interest in nor coordination for nursing or bottle, losing too much weight and getting jaundice, so who knows what treatments tomorrow will bring.

This is my first access to the internet since the birth and who knows when the next time will be. Even though we are not out of the woods yet I wanted to share happy news with you all hoping that it will be an encouragement and not find you at a point where someone else's success is painful.
