Sallie Mae bought out my student loan maybe 8 months ago. Originally when they purchased the loan from my previous lender they changed my payment terms from 10-year to 30-year. I changed that online with Sallie Mae.

A few months later I signed up for the automatic debit and they changed me back to 30-year terms although I never requested any changes to my terms.

I changed it to 7-years of repayment and they put my account in Administrative Forebearance for 6 months. They stopped taking payments automatically but the account still accrued interest. At least I can still pay through their website.

When people said evil they weren't kidding.
