Same here. If you really hate Susan Rice, for example, filibuster her appointment. Skip your fancy lunches, and going home, and whatever else, and put forth the effort to make your position heard. Not to sound trite, but "put your money where your mouth is". "Put some skin in the game." Pick your saying.

I think my point is that it's an artificial barrier. No purpose is served by making them talk for hours, other than to make it more difficult than it needs to be. If the bar exam could be administered in two hours instead of over two days, then we would think it idiotic - not beneficial - to spread it over two days just to make it "tougher."
