I keep my non-investment money (i.e. money that I'm probably going to need to use w/in the next 3-5 years) in a savings account. One of my friends told me that treasury bonds might be a better bet. He said they are almost as liquid as a savings account, but that they have better returns.

Any thoughts? Anyone know where I can read up on treasury bonds myself?
