I'm looking for a backup plan for my wife in the event that I pass on suddenly. I'm wondering: is there is a way to select a specific broker that has a good track record?

I currently have my investments with ML and occasionally assigned a specific broker when I need assistance on a non-investment issue but I have not used a broker for trading. I assigned brokers are pleasant but I've no idea if they have any talent for the game or are the newest brokers in the market.

Any input would be appreciated.
