Most Fools here wantto be able to retire ASAP.

A think a self-employed Fool that enjoys his/her work is not as concerned about ER as other Fools.

Maybe I'll work 20 hours per week (or less) in the future but I think I'll work as long as I can. I'll work for my favorite clients.

2 of my kids will finish college in the next few years. Might be fun to work with them.

My dad was a self employed Veterinarian. He loved his job. He could have retired at 62. He reduced his work hours to 20 when he was 62, He retired at 78. From 62 to 78 he made a few very good investments with the "extra" $ he earned. Today, his kids and grandchildren are lucky that he worked past ER!
