Fortunately you don't have a leaky pipe. There are few guys around here who should see a doctor for that condition.

Overwhelmed, but pleasantly so I think. Luckily, she's not feeling sick or anything.

Which is making you more nervous?

The daughter. Or rather, the thought of dealing with a teenage daughter in fifteen (or so) years...

This is even though I was firmly convinced it was a girl from the beginning and so I have had some time to cogitate over that one.

How much time do you have between moving in and bringing home baby?

How much time do you have between moving in and bringing home baby?

At least two months. Probably a bit more if we move expeditiously. Our tentative due date is at the end of June and we're looking to close in mid-March and be completely moved in by the end of April.

My father is retiring this Spring and is planning to come out to lend a hand as well -- this will be very appreciated.

Ya know, doppel, if you'da just done things about...3 months later

-synchronicity, offer accepted in mid-may, closed at the end of June, syncgirl born mid-september. Move each of those up three months, and does that time frame sound at all familiar to you?

Congratulations, by the way.

And of course it's a girl; after all, we are doppels.

Do you already have a Book? Because, I know the bestest baby book. It's so good that I regularly pick up extra copies at the thrift shop just to send people.

And it is . . . (drum roll) . . . Your Baby and Child, by Penelope Leach

Let me know if you want a copy!

Thanks for the recommendation. We don't have such a book yet but we have a couple of non-empty book store gift cards from the holidays that we have set aside for these books as needed.

Thanks again,

B+C, noting down the info

So I was out to lunch(literally & with batchfile) so I'm a latecomer.

Congrats on both !

Since it looks like I'll have a trip or 2 a year to your area for the next few years, I love the thought of spoiling her :)

Shooting her when she turns 15 is kind of drastic, dontcha think? I mean, the teen years aren't always that bad.

We're exactly there now, so I can certainly understand this sentiment.

Congrats on both counts! That's the order we tried for (many moons ago), but the baby came four weeks early and the house was ready two weeks late. Planning is good, just don't count on the plans working out (you should remember this for at least the next 18 years).

Understood. On this point, we are giving ourselves some leeway. We're hoping (and things are looking good so far) for 3 1/2 months between closing and the baby making her appearance.

Thanks,
