No. of Recommendations: 1
In the past week, I’ve switched over to SELL mode, and I’ve been trying to clean up my less advantageous positions and outright mistakes.

So far I’ve sold 8 positions: 5 at IB, 3 at E*Trade, and none in the two accounts I have at Zions where I’ve solicited eight bids so far, but got only two low-balls and no-bids on six, whereas, I can get good fills at IB and ET, even on singles, that are close enough to the inside market (aka, the prevailing highest bid and lowest ask). For sure, part of the reason a position can be sold at a favorable price will depend on the issue to be sold. But my suspicion at this point has to be that, if I were trying to sell what I’m holding at Zions through IB or ET, I could have gotten the trade done.

Has anyone else tried to sell through multiple brokers and seen differences in how the underlying desks which with the brokers are associated make their bids?

Thanks in advance, Charlie
