I'm totally new at this, having squandered my earnings in the past. Now I'm actually making $$ in my 4th career, and looking at my 54th birthday in a few weeks. Question: Do I set up a SEP the same as an IRA? Can I open an account with, say, Buyandhold, and just say I want it to be a SEP? I'm self-employed and don't anticipate contributing to any employee's retirement plan. I'm immersing myself in Foolishness, and want to stay away from professional money manager/squanderers. And by the way, thanks for the info re Buyandhold - it's just what I need to get going!
