I talked to K today, the wife of the couple of friends that are on the land. She doesn't know if they are keeping the current sheep or not, but I told her about the offer from the local place. I put it in the air to think about.

I've been playing with KoolAid as a cheap, non-toxic dye for the wool. I'vc come up with a couple of things that look cool so far. A strand dyed with lemonade plyed with a strand dyed with lemon-lime wasn't hard to come up with, but I totally love what I'm calling a "cotton candy" blend. I spun two small hanks of white wool and dyed one with a couple of packs of "strawberry lemonade" and dyed the other with two packs of "Ice Blue." I plied these two together and it's pretty!

I also played with different green and blue flavors before carding some and that combo I'm calling "sea foam."
