WSJ reports sales of manual transmission cars up 10% last year, although they're still only 9.3% of total automotive sales. (as recently as the 50's the figure was 50%) The trend is expected to continue, and the carmakers forcast 12% by 2005.

Biggest increase was in Subarus. (Have you seen all the WRX ads on tv? I just might have to get one! Yellow?)
