As the press talks about Russian prostitutes we have trade deals in the works decades in making and N Korea not only consenting to US troops to remain in S Korea but also to suspend all nuclear testing.

Oh yes, I know just a continuation of the appeasement policies of Obama. We be nice to them, but speak harsh words we do not mean, and they will reciprocate.

Duh..,cannot be because Trump pulled a Reagan. You know evil empire, tear down that wall (both ridiculed and called war mongering) combined w credibility in what he said and like OMG 😮 results.

So, why is it Liberals wish to go back to the ways of failures. You know Pelosi calling for me of days if tax cut passed, Trump an embarrassment on the international stage but Obama brilliant, and every illegal immigrant is a wanted illegal immigrant.

The absurdity of Liberal policies is becoming utterly apparent when compared against the results of the idiot Trump.

That is called cleaning out the swamp and conventional wisdom and getting stuff done.

No no Russians it was the Russians who caused it to work...

You know because “they” were not gonna let HRC won the presidency.

Despite the leftists strategy to kill the sitting US Presidents reputation and stature and thus demean the stature of the US itself, the policies of this administration have been absolutely superb....and yes, helped get America back on track after the decay and rot of the Obama years.

Certainly not a fan of the man’s apparent tweets and perhaps his prior shock jock life....but he has achieved true results....great results that so many had failed in previous years.

Embrace it.....invest in play doh if you must.....America is better.

Wouldn't be the first time the NKs have entered into an agreement they later broke. They've done that repeatedly with various presidents.

That said, something seems different this time. If Trump could secure a denuclearization deal with NK that is even vaguely successful, that would be fantastic.

Tinker, think the timing of this might be at all related to last weekend's Syria chemical weapons operation, which was said to be a success?

Not to mention making gestures which really cost nothing. If they have bombs that work and a missile to deliver it, there is no penalty for not doing testing for a while. The testing site which they are not going to use any more was collapsing after the last test so it probably can't be used any more. They have already gotten a big boost in prestige because Trump is willing to talk to them and his just walking in the room will add to that significantly without costing a thing.

So, yeah, let's hope it works, but don't add it to his list of accomplishments until something actually happens.

Success??? When the buildings had been emptied of people and quite possibly of supplies in advance of the attack? What exactly did we accomplish by spending zillions of dollars to blow up a few empty buildings (per Israeli intelligence)? After the raid a year ago, Assad went right on with chemical weapons with hardly a pause ... I expect no difference this time.

You must have missed the "was said to be" part. I have no way of knowing if it was truly effective or not.

No question it is related to Syria. N Korea thinks he really will do it so credible threat results in credible discussions vs nice language and “wins” that mean nothing like Obama in Iraq (Trump won in 6 months) and Clinton w China.

Not even clear on your message here? It appears you think Kim Jung Un believes there would be "consequences" to nuking somebody, anybody, now that Trump is pushing buttons?

ANYBODY who thinks that any president since Truman wouldn't create a nuclear wasteland of N.Korea if they used their own nukes is an utter idiot in the nth degree.
Diplomacy never gives an enemy a false sense of security. There was NEVER a second in time that Kim Jong Un didnt know his country would be roasted if he used the nuclear option, regardless of the leader or the tenor of the message. I can't even take your stock analysis seriously anymore if you truly believe otherwise?

Strange they connect dots to Syria. China has been a sticking point when it comes to NK, and we now have the appearance China is unstuck. NK is something Trump wants and needs, no matter how he postures. So NK is being played out with China.

This new report about a Chinese geology study might bring into question a lot of what led to North Korea making their announcment.

Yes, the collapsing test site has been known about for some time. N Korea is also ending its missile testing, which is unrelated to the nuclear testing.

We see a lot of evil and what not in movies, and yet little has come close to how evil N Korea is, nor the brutality of Stalin, the utter genocide of Mao (if he did not have a billion people that is to get rid of), and the complete human created disaster now seen in Venezuela...

I think we should better put our current system and constitution into context before we try to tear it down for some new cries of white privilege, speech codes, no borders, and what not.

Yes the movies and TV are lopsided. Lots of anti Nazi stuff but almost never a peep about Mao or Stalin or PoPot .

I would guess that only small percentage of HS grads ever heard of Po Pot. Even a substantial number of college grads probably do not know he murdered a quarter of his countrymen, all in the name of Left wing marxist Socialism.

Leftie bad guys are mostly ignored.
Just as the multiple failures of all sorts of Socialism are ignored.

agreed...not nearly enough tv coverage of the genocidal native american displacement policies of the slave-owning, over-taxed, british colonist forefathers that founded the US. (it was fore "fathers", because women weren't allowed to make decisions of note back then either)
