I'm really upset at those on this board that cry about how "Gilder owes me $250,000" and "my guru failed me". Wa wa wa. You guys make me ill. Here is the GG response to your petty cries:

I told you everything I knew, as soon as I knew it, except for specific company names that I was barred from divulging by an oral non-disclosure commitment I made to Terabeam. What happened is that the situation was changed, in part by the GTR itself, provoking Lucent to make an offer too good to be refused. Lucent entered the fray determined at any cost to displace the previous player in the Terabeam manufacturing space. The cost was to give up Optic Air and all its related intellectual property, commit $400 million, and give vendor finance to Terabeam, all for just 30 percent of a Terabeam manufacturing arm that can sell only to Terabeam. Although there was a previous contract, Terabeam had the foresight to include an escape clause.

I am sorry for the confusion. But I cannot regret this amazing result of the GTR celebration of Terabeam, amplified by the Economist. Until Terabeam became a global cynosure, its previous manufacturing deal was a huge asset. Among other things, it helped persuade me that Terabeam was not just a wonderful vindication of the telecosm but also a superb company that had all sides of its business covered.

This should show you how stupid you are to follow someone, blindly. Throwing huge sums of money into companies on a near-term basis because of a "tip" that is anything but a "tip".

I absolutely can't believe you people. I'm infuriated.

Point the finger at yourselves. You've got no one else to blame. TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS. fools.
