Since no one seems to want to answer I'll try.

Amounts over $100,000 aren't deductible for house backed credit lines in the US. That's one problem. Also I work with a couple who tried that so they could heavily invest in the market that wss in late 1999. Needless to say they lost a LOT of money. As general rule, I think you should never borrow money to invest in stiocks.
