Since the House voted yesterday to repeal the tax code as we know it today should we still be thrilled about the new Roth IRA? I realize that the Senate must ratify this and then the President must sign it. Maybe it would be a good idea to keep some money in both the deductible IRA and the new Roth IRA.

I wouldn't worry about this too much. I doubt that the Pres will sign this, and even if he does, I doubt that current savings plan will be affected. Of course, they may become ineffectual as far as tax savings, but the money won't be taken away from you.
