Once again it's time for the annual Rights of Feste, and once again I see no CaveGirl for Feste. Oh, I know. It smacks of effort. It means a scrolly post. Well, this outrage must end.

What can you say about CaveGirl that she hasn't already said about herself? In 56,640 posts.

Well, um, she is prolific. For those who may be newbii CaveGirl is founder of and the heart of Skunk(s). She is also Prez of the Board of Pure Evil but she posts on many other boards too numerous to list.

In addition to that CaveGirl also maintains the CaveGirl On The Web Lite™. site.

http://www.geocities.com/caveguru/

That clearly qualifies as part of the "Learning Together" mission since her host apparently trashed her site this year and she had had to reconstruct it. There you will find that CaveGirl serves her country in the military and spent some time stationed in Korea. There are also travelogues of her adventures in Europe and of her current home in Colorado.

CaveGirl is a treasure of learning whether is it just a reminder of what a great country we all live in--and backing it up with her own service....

So for all of you that feel political choices have somehow stomped all over your personal freedom and degenerated your life and your choices to a point where you feel the need to relocate and change citizenship, have at it. I won't stop you... and I suspect that no one else will, either. Get over it already. It's for four years and a lot can happen between now and then. I don't think things are really that bad and I prefer to live here, in the land of the free and the home of the brave... as an American.

or advice on diet and Living Below Your Means.

So there you go... there is now NO reason to say you aren't eating right... because someone is there to provide for you!

or warning people about a new check clearing law and possible saving the unwary a few dollars on bank charges.

For all those people who live paycheck to paycheck and expect to "float" checks for a few days before your salary deposit is made, you might want to think twice about doing that.

But the really great thing about CaveGirl is the advice she provides on every day issues, from how to maintain a good personal relationship:

As always, don't forget that you are expendable after the trip has been completed so don't expect anything in return. Leave me your number and we'll do it again sometime!

p.s. my house needs a good cleaning so I guess we should probably discuss that in future posts.

To the hazards that can come with moving up the ladder:

My response to the question of whether or not I will ever get promoted has always been, "When monkeys fly out of my butt." Well dammit all to hell, them suckers hurt...

I GOT PROMOTED!!!!!

To helpful reviews of the arts:

I give this movie 3 out of 5 Shaking Fists, but only because there were quite a handful of hotties to be seen and also because rating it any other way for any other reason simply smacks of effort.

To the value of speaking a second language:

I been talkin' me piratespeak today and was told by a co-worker to knock it off because it creeps her out.

Yarrrrrrrrr, methinks she be walkin' the plank!

To saving and investing strategies:

I'm still in search of that elusive Sugar Daddy...

To the importance of teaching the children:

A nephew has arrived in the world especially for me to teach him the ways of evil... I really need to get back to my niece and teach her how to properly launch peas off a spoon.

To the hard work and value of spending some time in the ivory towers.

On Friday I received my diploma for my Associates Degree through CCAF! Now it's onward to finish up what I can in the time I have left to get a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems....

I really, totally dig on the two weeks between classes... I definitely need the brain break.

So.....if that ain't Learning Together, I don't know what is. I know that is a few more than three posts but I think I mentioned CaveGirl is prolific. And she spells well and her grammar is excellent. No small thing.

The real reason CaveGirl should be Feste Laureate is simply because she represents the best of what TMF is. About four years ago when I was new to TMF I thought, for some reason, that another post on Nokia and the direction of its share price (down) was more important than some people having fun together as a community. So I complained about some posts on the "Best Of" board. Naturally, some of CaveGirl's evil minions were set to pounce as they are trained to do.

But CaveGirl couldn't have been nicer even though I didn't deserve it. She explained what TMF was all about and even invited me to wander by Skunk(s) if I wished. Never did but I also never forgot how nice CaveGirl was and what a great impression she made on behalf of The MotleyFool.

So anyway, she will rule with an iron fist, firmly but fairly. You know it's right. CaveGirl, for Feste 2004.
