So.. I guess I better give notice.

I'm having Home Depot flashbacks.

Things don't always go as planned but counseling (or "coaching") an employee is standard procedure in today's litigious times. The management probably knows the customer is lying, they're just trying to cover their butts. If you think it's bad there, just wait until you get into the public sector (DOC).

My observation is that you seem to work much better when you are not directly supervised and are able to work to a certain degree as your own boss. (Bus, waitress, etc.) Unfortunately, that's not always possible. The world is full of fools and sometimes you have to suffer them. In DOC you're going to have to tolerate sergeants, lieutenants and <gasp> even Captains who are going to be telling you what to do all day long. Even line officers who are senior to you will be doing that. Get used to it.

My advice is to suck it up and enjoy the pay checks. You're not helping the resume by holding a string of jobs for a couple weeks each.
