So if I and DW had $200K in a joint account we each have $100K insurance so we are covered. Here is the rub, being from Utah if I and DW1 have $200K in a joint account plus I and DW2 have another joint account with $200K then my second account we be uninsured for my $100K. You (any one person) has only $100K in all joint accounts insured. cumulative.....

Seems downright disciminatory!!!

(We actually have 2 joint accounts at our regular CU, because we misunderstood when we opened the second account, but I decided to keep it as a transactions account.)

Pen Fed is weird, because each CD has it's own account number. I am working on the assumption, since I list each CD as joint when I fill out the paperwork, that we will be covered up to $200,000.
