So the solution was to pass a law that makes it more expensive and covers less?

One thing Obamazare didn't address was the doctor shortage in parts of the Country and how adding a few million to the rolls without increasing the number of doctors will work. More patients and less doctors doesn't scream quality of service. And nobody wants to lower the standards of people going to medical school.

Although I do agree that it's very regional. Go to any large city or major suburb and you can find any specialist and more than enough doctors, with plenty of insurance options. Go to the more rural areas and you might have to drive an hour for some specialists and maybe there is only one insurance company in the area. Not alot of choices.

Although I always question those "wellness" stats and life expectancy stats. Would having more people have access to doctors have us live longer or is it more about the American life style of poor dieting, high stress, less vacations etc. The American diet is one of the unhealthiest out of high income countries. Other Countries have mandatory vacations, we don't.
