So there you have it. Large scale hydro is not considered renewable energy by those 626 environmental groups. In California, any hydroelectric generator larger than 30 MW is not considered renewable under the state's renewable portfolio standard. 30 MW is a very small hydro generator. It should also be pointed out that biomass energy is also excluded in the description in the VOX article. If you exclude all combustion-based energy, nuclear, biomass, large scale hydro, and waste-to-energy, there isn't much left except solar and wind. Geothermal maybe, but geothermal is only used in certain limited areas with active geology.

I have told you a hundred times that large scale hydro in California is considered clean energy. I do not know why you keep harping on the terminology.

California loves large hydro and imports lots of electricity generated by large hydro.

California also loves biomass, geothermal and waste-to-energy. So you are making up stuff again and your strawman argument is all baloney, blarney and malarkey.

I believe that you are the one that does not understand the realities of operating a power grid. You keep throwing out misleading and wrong information about renewables all the time. We know you really hate renewables and natural gas power plants because they make nuclear power look stupid.
