So what future security are you trying to protect?

For various reasons we are not getting married but need some form of similar security.

Example - We are 5 years into our relationship. Shes a wonderful person and I am a devoted, loving man but lets say 20 years from now she has a change of heart that is no fault of my own then I'm out 20 years and I will be in my 60's having to start from scratch.

I am open to and would be grateful if there is/are alternate suggestion(s)/method(s) that would provide this security that would not open problems down the road like you mentioned.

Thanks again for your reply.
