So when someone comes in and needs to go to Physical Therapy (for example) I'll escort them from the front desk to their destination and escort them back when they're done. If they need to go to X-Ray from PT (for example), I'd do that too.

I volunteer at a local hospital and do basically the same thing as you only I do it outdoors. This hospital is comprised of 10 buildings and I drive a golf cart and give folks rides from their vehicle to their destination or carry them from the wrong building to the correct building or locate lost vehicles while trying to sooth the crying patient who thinks her car was stolen.

I've been doing this one afternoon a week for 8 years now. I worked in an office invironment during my career and its nice to be outdoors for a change. Weather can be a factor though. Hot in the Summer, cold in the winter. Some rain. Some wind.

Compensation is a lunch to start my afternoon.

Regards,

ImAGolfer (retired '03)
