I appreciate your concern for a balancing view (you must be reading other things I have written, because this thread isn't much cause or your comments).

I "get" the risk in not paying close attention to valuation, but if I diversify well, I should be OK. I have numerous companies that are less off the PE charts.

You have to stick your neck out here and there. NFLX, AMZN, and TSLA make no sense at all, yet they can turn out so well. There has to be a place for those in my port - if it is to be diverse. BofI is hardly extreme and I limit my exposure according to my view of the risk. I fully expect to have different perspective when I have been doing this for 10 years.
