Some good points in this thread...and yes, aging is a real thing. But...while you are still on this earth...NEVER GIVE UP. Comparing your 50-80 year old self to your 20-30 year old self is a fool's game. You can't go back there.

Keep going physically. The tendency to give up too soon, too early, is part of why some experience such extreme reductions in capacity as they age. I'm older so i can't (fill in the blank) if it becomes too much a part of your vocabulary, turns into an automatic limitation.

Part of the reason for diminishing strength and endurance is due to reduced activity (for whatever reason). If the reduced activity happens because of one's attitude, choose a different attitude (just for a month)! See if your health isn't better.

So, choose to have a more capable attitude, get a bit more active, and experience some improvements in physical health (at whatever age).

Don't worry if you can't keep up with your 20 year old self. She-he isn't here anyway.
