It's a very weird feeling moving my stuff into my new digs. There's so much SPACE! It's somewhat surreal and I'm having a little trouble believing it. I have a two week overlap whilst I'll still have my apartment so I can move slowly....maybe that has something to do with this weird sensation. Maybe it's a little homesickness because I really really like the neighborhood I was in (a few miles from elizabeth actually) which was very eclectic, with great restaurants and theatre and music and art and lakes I sail and kayak on and other great friends and sports and I'm moving to suburbia where everything is cookie-cutter-out-of-the-box (E, come on out to Plymouth for a visit?). I'm not complaining. Really. I can easily tell that it's going to be so much better than renting. It's an equity position which I love. I'm moving from a studio to 2 BR, 1 and 1/2 bath TH with a double garage and a corner jacuzzi tub (just add water). The laundry is on the second floor so I don't have to schlep my clothes up and down the stairs. I just thought I'd be out of my mind ecstatic and I'm kind of feeling nonchalant. Maybe I've rented so long (EIGHTEEN YEARS! - HALF MY LIFE) that it will simply take me a little while?

I suppose it will really sink in once I have to pay to fix something? Or maybe when I send my first mortgage payment! Aack!
