Something else I just remembered.....and learned about as a late bloomer....foam rolling.

Again back in my early days as a fitness instructor, one of the certification courses I took (heavily subsidised by the gym I taught at) was the NASM personal trainer cert.....National Academy of Sports Medicine. It focused very heavily on the pre-hab stuff with the rationale that, since the boom in gyms and fitness in the 1970s and 80s, "gyms" were oftentimes places where folk of minimal fitness and the accompanying dysfunctional movement patterns were in the majority. The training courses spent a lot of time on stuff like building core strength, functional movement screening....and foam rolling. All of which were new to me and, I have to confess, of minimal interest (not unlike some of the stuff decades earlier at dental school) Just like dental school, developing and demonstrating mastery of these various skills were mandatory.......and, as I've subsequently realised and benefitted from, for good reason.

I doubt it's the sort of thing to dive into unless you're fully healed but it actually does work.
