Somewhat related, I have a small mortgage on my summer place at 2.49%. I could pay it off, but the money that I would have to use to pay it off is earning more than 2.49%%, so I am leaving it be.

Yep. When I had my mortgage, keeping the mortgage had nothing to do with a tax deduction. It was strictly a decision based on math. I recently paid off the mortgage for non-mathematical reasons.
