Though I don't agree with his view on all of it, here's a take on what the conversations have been about here -

Starts out:

Well, ladies and gentlemen, as a Sophisticated Investor, I'm here to tell you that if you're looking to get rich from Ric -- keep looking.

Here's what Ric recommends people do: Carry debt, ignore their bank statements and financial news and invest a dollar a day. Whoopee! We're going places now. And this, let's remember, is all under the auspices of obtaining "Extraordinary Wealth."

I think this is Kiyosaki, and the latest promotion of his Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Cashflow Quandrant, and other poor financial books.

Note that Kiyosaki, the proclaimed millionaire guru....graduated from college in the 70s....his parents put him through college.....of his choice....his poor dad was sthe top administrator for the state of Hawaii, a PhD, but didn't 'consume' according to how the son thought 'rich' people did.

Kiyosaki started his own business...it sold 'millions of dollars ' worth of stuff.....unfortunately, Kiyosaki didn't seem to make any money selling 'millions of dollars in stuff'. By 1985, according to his own testimony in his latest book, and his wife, both college graduates, were living in his old Toyota...no house or apt......after a couple weeks of being homeless, one of their friends lent them a room for the next nine months while he started his next business venture.

Guess what that was?

It was selling 'financial planning seminars' and 'books' and 'how to get rich' guides. This from a guy who lost everything he owned, was bankrupt, and now had the 'formula' for great wealth!...

He did make great wealth, selling his 'formula' to other people..... only after he suckered in lots of people, then he started investing in real estate.

He was so 'afraid' of being a 'mere employee' that he lived as a homeless person (with his wife) for 9 months...... cooking up his next business deal...peddling useless financial guides.

did he make money before that? No.

Actually, if you go to the link you'll find it is about the Oprah show the other day & the Ordinary People... book - the one that says millionaires don't pay off the mortage.
