After 28 years of ownership I've gotten used to people saying "What's that?", or "What year is that", or "I didn't know Buick made a two-seater." Some even ask whether I'd be interested in selling it. Last Friday, while refueling, I was asked whether anyone ever offered to buy it from me.
"Sure, just last month I was offered $17K," I told the guy. (Actually the offer was $11K, so I was just pulling his leg.)
"How many miles do you have on it?" he asked.
"Just under 80,000."
So he pulls out a checkbook, writes me a check for $20,000, and says, "Can we talk?"
And I said, "Sure, see you around."
I have two of them and am keeping both.
