Can anyone give me some insight into SPE Special Opportunities Fund (C/O UPRR)?

I have inherited shares in this fund through T.O.D. designation. They say just fill out the W-9 and sign it. Since it is a transfer on death action it won't need a medallion seal just copy of death certificate because of my name being included on the title as T.O.D. beneficiary.

The problem is I am wondering if 10% isn't high for a transaction fee. They would "sell only the number of shares required to cover the transfer fee" according to their rep. To me this would seem like a small fee until you do the math...then it looks very big based on the number of shares inherited @ $17+/- per share.

I don't know of any way to transfer without UPRR.

All help is appreciated
