Speaking of comparisons, now that I have a dropbox account and know how to use it, here's an S&P vs. IUL comparison. I don't know how to create an Excel spreadsheet, but the person who constructed this for me appears to be qualified to do so.

Yup, looks pretty good to me. In fact, what it shows is the same thing that my spreadsheet shows. S&P final vlaue: $939K IUL final value: $502K.

The chart shows that the S&P portfolio value was always more than the IUL account value, even at the bottom of the 2 bear markets.
